It was just past the one year warranty. It is ruined and has not successfully dried out. It would shut off without reason while I was setting up a posed picture. Battery charged, no buttons pressed, just sitting there, lining the kids up or whatever, and 'beep' the camera shut off. Make sure you have the right scene set for iAuto, you don't serious expect landscape mode to take a good family picture do you" I posted some pictures in different modes so you can get of sense of some the cameras features and capabilities. This is a simple mechanism but it appears that Olympus made is worse so that the customer would purchase the more expensive camera. As you can figure from the above, the issue that I had with the camera is that once it was brought into the water, it leaked and was destroyed.

I love the stability control which allows for great pictures even when your hands aren't the steadiest. I also love that you don't have to freak out if you drop it, or submerge in water.

It is simple to use (logical menus really help), takes great pictures, and best of all it is armored. There aren't any parts that stick out to get sand in, and when not in use it protects the lens with a cover. My camera only last for 1 month, I used it for one week in the beach and it took great pictures underwater, then I used it in the pool (1 meter or less deep) and water got in (the lock was secure) I don't recommend this camera to anyone! I did read the reviews before purchasing this and this camera was on another site rated highly for waterproof digital cameras so at only $170 I thought I would give it a shot since it was relatively low priced.

I'm sure if you take proper care of the camera it will last and not leak. I purchased the 6020 for going on a Disney Bahamas cruise and it worked GREAT!

It does not seem to judge light conditions very well, often telling me that the camera was shaking in daylight conditions. I also found it cumbersome to sift through the "scene" features on this camera. I used it as a field camera (I have a larger digital SLR, but when I'm out in the field, I don't like to carry it). I bought it because it was tough and waterproof--both very nice features for me.

I love how the camera is very durable and can be taken underwater. Was a fun and new experience with this camera and I would recommend it to everyone!

Ok, I thought I did a lot of research here, looking at quality of image and quietness of the video zoom, etc. I saw this on some of the best online camera review sites, and of course, the waterproofing and durability. I like the artistic modes too, although I have not had much excuse to use them at work. I also use it in dark areas (think dusk to twilight) to focus on objects 20 feet away.

I am now about to go and buy a new camera, feeling sorry for my Mum for wasting her money! I bought this for my daughter's birthday. Maybe because of that I leave it on a lot and that's why the battery runs out! This camera is amazing.
